Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced and motivated Civil Labourers and Excavator Operators to join our team and contribute to a range of exciting civil construction projects across Melbourne.

About the Role

As a valued member of our civil construction team, you will contribute to a diverse range of infrastructure projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria. Your work will include excavation, trenching, conduit and pit installation, underground utility construction, earthworks, and non-destructive digging activities. Working alongside experienced supervisors and operators, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

This role offers a variety of work environments and project types, including occasional regional travel and night works to support critical infrastructure and utility projects. Flexibility and a willingness to work across different locations and schedules will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

·         Operate excavators and associated plant equipment safely and efficiently.

·         Undertake excavation and trenching works for civil and underground electrical infrastructure projects.

·         Assist with installation of conduits, pits, and underground services, associated cabling.

·         Carry out general civil labouring duties including site preparation, reinstatement, and site clean-up.

·         Assist with loading, unloading, and transportation of materials and equipment.

·         Maintain compliance with all site safety procedures and company policies.

·         Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to deliver projects safely, on time, and to a high standard

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essential

• Previous experience operating excavators within civil construction environments.

• Relevant excavator tickets and/or licences.

• Heavy Rigid (HR) or Medium Rigid (MR) driver's licence.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work.

• Reliable work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Highly Regarded

·         Experience working on underground electrical utility or infrastructure projects.

·         Understanding of underground services and utility asset protection requirements.

·         Experience reading civil and utility construction plans.

·         Additional plant operator tickets and civil construction qualification
