Electrical Service Technician

Stoddart Manufacturing is one of the largest manufacturers and importers of Food Service Equipment in Australia and has been in business for over 60 years. With continued strong growth, an opportunity has become available for a service technician to join our Food Service division in Brisbane.

The Customer Service Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing customer foodservice equipment. The role requires skill in dealing with customers in what may be difficult circumstances. Customer Service Technicians require a broad product and parts knowledge. Customer Service Technicians need to possess enhanced verbal and written communication skills in order to be successful in the role.

 More specifically your duties will include the following:

• Service and repair customer foodservice equipment

• Provide technical advice to customers

• Conduct complimentary inspections on customer products

• Carry out maintenance service of foodservice equipment

• Communicate with Customer Service Coordinator for the post-service follow up

• Identify spare parts effectively

• Manage spare part stock contained within service vehicle

In determining suitability for the role, the following criteria are considered essential:

• Certificate III in Electrical trade

• Construction White card

• Thorough knowledge of legislation, codes of practice and standards relevant to works carried out and trade qualification

• Intermediate level of computer technical skills

• Ability to develop product knowledge over time

• Ability to work under broad supervision and maintain safe working environment to a high standard

• Ability to manage customer expectations

• Ability to use problem solving skills to resolve complex faults

• Ability to complete site-specific risk assessments and associated documentation

• Ability to read and comprehend documents of a technical nature

This position offers excellent remuneration with a company vehicle, ipad, iphone and uniforms supplied. Stoddart values its employee’s licensing and compliance. Stoddart will compensate all service technicians for licensing fees and provide any further training to maintain the licensing such as CPR and LVR courses annually.
