About the role
AAP Industries is a market leader in the distribution of high quality pipe fittings and valves, servicing the plumbing, irrigation, petro chemical and engineering markets.
An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Forklift driver/Picker/Packer.
This is a role that provides an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, motivated and hard working individual, who is energetic and reliable; a person who is aware of risk management and abides by all WH&S Policies and Procedures.
The duties of this role will include, but are not limited to: -
Manually picking and packing of parts
Unloading and loading trucks using the forklift
Stocking shelves
Transfers to other branches
Cycle counts
Housekeeping
Other
Desirable Criteria: -
Customer service skills
Good written oral skills
Has a good knowledge of measurements and is able to add/subtract
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Has a strong work ethic
Be able to work reasonable overtime if required including Saturdays
The ideal candidate will have: -
A current forklift license with photo ID
Safety awareness and team attitude
Good attention to detail
A passion to learn and develop
Wage will depend on experience
