Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women's Council is an Anangu-led organisation dedicated to supporting Anangu women, children and families across the Central Desert region.

We are seeking a compassionate and organised Reception and Administration Officer to join our Domestic and Family Violence Service (DFVS). This role is the first point of contact for women seeking support and plays a vital role in ensuring our service operates efficiently while providing a welcoming, culturally safe and trauma-informed environment.

About the Role

As the Reception and Administration Officer, you will:

• Be the first point of contact for clients, visitors and service providers.
• Answer and triage calls through the DFVS Freecall service, taking accurate messages and directing enquiries to the appropriate team member.
• Welcome clients to the Alice Springs office with professionalism, empathy and respect.
• Maintain reception records and client visit logs.
• Coordinate DFVS vehicle and satellite phone bookings.
• Manage office supplies, stationery and refreshments.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception and client environment.
• Provide data entry and administrative support to the DFVS Manager and broader team.

About You

You will bring:

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to remain calm, compassionate and professional when supporting people experiencing difficult circumstances.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook and Teams.
• Experience providing telephone or reception services.
• The ability to work effectively within a culturally diverse environment.

Experience working within the domestic and family violence sector or with Aboriginal communities will be highly regarded but is not essential.

• Competitive salary of $84,189.33 – $95,299.65 per annum (pro rata), negotiable based on experience.
