DPE Civil is looking for an experienced Pipelayer to join our team in Townsville, North Queensland.

DPE Civil is a locally based civil construction company delivering quality civil infrastructure projects throughout the Townsville Region. We pride ourselves on our high standards of workmanship, safety and professionalism and are looking for an experienced Pipelayer who shares these values.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Pipelayer to join our civil construction crews on a casual basis, with a strong foundation of upcoming long-term work and the possibility of transitioning to full-time employment for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will have proven experience installing stormwater, sewer and/or water infrastructure and be confident working as part of a team to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong understanding of civil construction and is looking for consistent work with a local company.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of stormwater, sewer and water infrastructure

• Pipe laying and alignment to specifications and levels

• Reading and interpreting civil construction plans and drawings

• Setting and checking levels, grades and falls

• Assisting with trench preparation, bedding and backfilling

• Working closely with excavator operators, supervisors and other crew members

• Ensuring pipework is installed correctly and to project requirements

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised worksite

• Following all company and site safety procedures

• Completing work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience as a Pipelayer within the civil construction industry

• Experience installing stormwater, sewer and/or water infrastructure

• A strong understanding of pipe installation, grades, levels and falls

• Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Good communication skills and a reliable work ethic

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

• Ability to work independently when required

• Current driver's licence

• Relevant tickets and qualifications will be highly regarded
