About the role
Good at what you do and ready to get even better?
We're looking for an experienced scaffolder who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a good crew and wants more than turning up, doing the job and going home.
At Masta Scaffold Melbourne (MSM), we want our people to build a career with us.
That means consistent work, good people around you, opportunities to develop your skills and the chance to take on more responsibility as you prove yourself.
If you're motivated, reliable and want to be known as someone who's bloody good at their job, we'd like to meet you.
The RoleYou'll work with our MSM team across a variety of residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.
Your day-to-day will include:
Installing, modifying and dismantling scaffold safely and efficiently
Working as part of a crew to get the job done properly
Participating in toolbox meetings and site safety checks
Loading, picking, packing and maintaining scaffold equipment
Problem-solving on site and communicating with supervisors, clients and other trades
Taking responsibility for the quality and safety of your work
Location: Our yard is in Bayswater, with projects across Melbourne CBD, Eastern and South-Eastern suburbs.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with overtime and occasional out-of-hours work when required.
Employment: Casual with a clear pathway to permanent full-time employment and opportunities to progress within the business.
Who We're Looking ForYou'll probably fit in well at MSM if you're someone who:
Turns up and can be relied on
Takes pride in doing a job properly
Likes working hard and seeing what you've achieved at the end of the day
Has the confidence to speak up, contribute ideas and solve problems
Works well with a crew and enjoys a bit of banter along the way
Wants to keep improving rather than becoming comfortable doing the minimum
Takes safety seriously — for yourself and the people working around you
Wants stability and a company you can build a future with
You don't need to know everything.
We'd rather have someone with the right attitude who wants to learn than someone who thinks they already know it all.
What You'll NeedBasic Scaffold Licence or higher
Experience installing and dismantling scaffold
Full unrestricted Australian driver's licence
Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
Your own scaffold tools — uniform and PPE are provided
Full Australian working rights
Ability to reliably get to our Bayswater yard
Above-award pay with increases as your skills and responsibilities grow
Regular Monday-to-Friday work
Overtime and penalty rates when applicable
Monthly RDOs
Ongoing training and mentoring
Opportunities to upgrade your scaffold qualifications
A genuine pathway into senior scaffolding, supervision and other roles within Masta
Supportive leaders who know you by name
Quarterly Social Club activities
A team that works hard, looks out for each other and still has a laugh
Our three values are pretty simple:
Determination — We work hard, solve problems and find a way.
Care — We look after our teammates, our clients and the people working around our scaffold.
Fun — We take the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.
We expect a lot from our people, and we'll back the people who want to grow.
Why MSM?Masta Scaffold Melbourne has been operating in Melbourne since 2007.
We're a family-owned business, and we're building a team for the long term.
For us, career progression doesn't have to mean leaving your tools tomorrow. It could mean becoming one of the best scaffolders in the crew, getting your Intermediate or Advanced ticket, stepping into leadership or eventually moving into another area of the business.
Where you go will depend on where you want to go and what you're prepared to put into it.
Sound Like You?Applications close 12 September.
Apply through SEEK with your resume and a short note telling us:
Why are you looking for your next move, and what would you like to achieve in the next few years?
We don't need a perfectly written cover letter. We'd rather hear a little about you.
If you have a question about the role before applying, leave a message on 0414 580 ***.
What One of Our Team Said"Masta Scaffold Melbourne was very welcoming. The staff and management were approachable and there was never any judgment. I appreciated the opportunity to get my scaffold ticket and the chance to start at the bottom and grow. They're understanding about family life and it's a fun environment where everyone is welcoming — it doesn't matter who you are."
