Accountant – Cleaning Services Company

We are a growing and reputable cleaning services company based in Sydney, providing high-quality commercial and residential cleaning solutions. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our finance team.

As our Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards, and supporting business growth through accurate financial reporting and analysis.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts.

• Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll legislation.

• Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and other statutory obligations.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

• Monitor company expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and government agencies.

• Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks).

• Ensure compliance with Australian taxation and financial regulations.
  

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA or CA qualification (or working towards one) is highly regarded.

• Minimum 2–3 years’ accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.

• Experience using Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
