Pacific Marine Group (PMG) is a marine contractor at the forefront of the Maritime Industry in Northern Australia and the Pacific Rim. With approximately 200 employees working in the main divisions of Maintenance, Marine, Diving and Construction, PMG prides itself on its ability to efficiently undertake work in each of these areas as well as complete larger projects integrating all divisions of the business.

About the role

As a result of ongoing growth within our business, and numerous upcoming projects, PMG are looking for an experienced Paint and Blaster to join our thriving workshop in the Paint and Blast Department in Townsville on a casual basis, with the potential of transitioning to Permanent.

About the candidate

The successful candidate will use their skills in the workshop painting and blasting a broad range of equipment including, but not limited to, hydraulic equipment, machinery, power packs, generators, and PMG’s own vessels. A “can do" attitude, and keen attention to detail will take you far in this ever changing and exciting business.

Essential:

• Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating or alike (Highly desirable)

• Relevant experience in painting and blasting or basic experience with the desire to learn

• Driver’s license

• Good fault-finding skills

• Self-motivated and positive outlook

• Goal focused

• Possess good communication skills. 

Desirable:

• Construction Industry White Card

• High Risk Work Licences
