Disability Support Worker

We are urgently seeking Disability Support Workers for an immediate start in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, including Mango Hill, Caboolture South, Bay, Banyo, and Margate.

Support workers to work (day, afternoon & sleepover) across the 7-day roster in Supported Independent Living accommodation and community settings. The job will entail duties such as:

• Assistance with personal care needs

• Assistance with daily living and household tasks.

• Assistance in meal prep and cooking for clients.

• Sleepover and active night shifts.

Essential requirements

• You must be willing to work with both children and adults and possess a valid blue card.

• Experience in managing clients with PEG feeding, administering medication via a PEG tube, and using hoisting equipment is highly desirable.

• Immediate start and flexible

• Articulates well-spoken English with clients

• First aid Certificate and current CPR certificate

• NDIS Worker Screening Check 

• NDIS mandatory training modules 

• Full driver's licence desirable

To be successful in this role, any previous experience assisting others who live with disability is a strength. This experience may be from previous professional or from personal life experience. With this as your foundation, you will be provided with comprehensive training and induction to ensure you have everything you need to be able to provide excellent, professional support.
