Tax Manager

Reporting, in the interim, to the Chief Financial Officer and based at our Adelaide office, you will manage the company’s direct and indirect tax obligations across income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax and other applicable taxes.

As Tax Manager, you will partner with finance teams and stakeholders across the business, providing practical tax advice and supporting accurate month-end and financial year-end reporting. You will also drive opportunities to strengthen tax compliance processes through automation and streamlining.

This hands-on role is suited to an experienced tax professional who can operate independently, manage competing priorities and apply strong technical knowledge to commercial business matters.

• Managing direct and indirect tax compliance obligations, including income tax, GST, FBT and payroll tax
• Preparing accurate tax returns and payment calculations, including monthly BAS and payroll tax
• Supporting month-end close and financial year-end income tax reporting
• Preparing company income tax returns and managing tax-effect accounting requirements
• Providing clear written and verbal tax advice on BAU and ad hoc business matters
• Partnering with finance teams and key stakeholders across the business
• Driving continuous improvement through process automation and streamlining

• CA or CPA qualification
• Extensive tax experience within chartered accounting and/or a large corporate tax function
• Strong indirect tax expertise across GST, BAS, payroll tax and FBT
• Demonstrated direct tax experience, including company tax returns and tax-effect accounting
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools including use of modern technology tools to manage large volume of data.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex tax matters into practical solutions
• A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach, with the ability to operate independently
