Dual Trade Electrical Fitter/Cable Jointer

Join Evoenergy's Ground and Zone Assets team and help deliver the safe, reliable and sustainable electricity network that powers homes, businesses and essential services across the ACT. Working within the Network Services Group, you'll play a vital role in the construction, maintenance and operation of critical network infrastructure that supports our growing community and enables a more sustainable energy future.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and safety-focused professional to work across a diverse range of electrical network activities, including customer connections, substation construction and maintenance, field switching and fault response. As part of a skilled and collaborative team, you'll contribute to the ongoing reliability of Canberra's electricity network while developing your technical capabilities in a dynamic and essential industry. Key responsibilities:

• The installation of services from Evoenergy distribution network to customers premises
• Timely completion of all record keeping documentation which includes work order and task completion, vehicle log sheets, timesheets etc
• Be willing to complete the relevant training and authorisation for HV and LV field switching and apply these skills as part of the core role.
• Zone and distribution substation construction and maintenance
• Participate in on-call & shift-work rosters as necessary based on Evoenergy policy.
• Other duties within the employee's skill, competence and training.

Our ideal candidate: 

• Minimum Certificate III Systems Electrician and Certificate III ESI – Distribution Cable Jointing
• An unrestricted ACT Electrical License or the ability to obtain one.
• Previous successful work in field on construction and/or maintenance of network infrastructure.
• You take active steps to ensure the safety of your colleagues and our community, championing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment.
