 The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious, autonomous Mechanical Engineer (Intermediate or Senior level) to be part of our Consulting Engineering Team.

Key Responsibilities

·       Design Delivery: Lead and support Mechanical Services Design across a diverse project lifecycle.

·      Engineering Calculations: Undertake Mechanical Building Services Design system selections and design calculations.

• Undertake system design utilise software such as Camel Heatload calculations. Be able to sized ductwork and undertake fan selections.

• Compliance Management: Ensure all mechanical designs strictly comply with relevant Australian

industry codes, standards, and practices.

• Project Coordination: Work from engineering sketches, coordinate workflows, and collaborate with Senior Engineers.

• Peer Reviews: Actively participate in design clarifications and cross-discipline peer reviews.

 What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 3+ years of dedicated experience within a Building Services Consulting Engineering practice or allied organization.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of mechanical design principles, HVAC layouts, and mechanical engineering calculations.

• Autonomy: Proven ability to manage design tasks under your own initiative while working effectively within a project team.

Professional Memberships:

• Engineers Australia membership is highly desirable (but not essential).

• BPEQ (Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland) registration or a clear pathway to registration is highly desirable (but not essential).

Communication: Strong English language skills (essential for both written technical reporting and spoken team coordination).

Work Rights: Full, valid Australian citizenship or a work visa with unrestricted working rights.
