In the role of Head of Housing Affordability, you will join the Sustainability team as NAB’s central enterprise subject matter expert on housing affordability. You will work through customer-facing businesses, product, portfolio, risk and enabling teams to shape priorities, embed affordability considerations into business strategies and support delivery of scalable financing outcomes.
You’ll make an impact each day by:
Providing deep subject matter expertise on housing affordability including; policy settings, demand and supply drivers, housing finance settings and customer affordability challenges Working with customer-facing businesses, product and portfolio teams to embed housing affordability priorities into strategies, propositions and delivery plans Coordinating enterprise activity and governance through the Housing Affordability Council, ensuring priorities, dependencies and delivery risks are visible and well managed Supporting business units to develop commercially viable financing approaches and scalable solutions across demand-side and supply-side housing levers Advising executives and governance forums on housing affordability insights, delivery progress, risks and opportunities
You’ll bring to this role:
Senior experience in housing, strategy, sustainability, finance, public policy or a related discipline within a large, complex organisation Deep expertise in working in or with the housing industry, specifically on affordability Strong ability to influence and advise across complex organisations, working through business units without relying on formal authority Experience translating complex policy, market and customer insights into practical business priorities and scalable solutions Experience leading teams Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, actionable advice
