Electrician

About the role

You'll work across a broad range of residential and commercial installation and maintenance projects, rather than doing the same type of work every day. For a newly qualified electrician, this is an opportunity to continue developing your skills while having experienced tradespeople and strong office support behind you. For a 4th Year Apprentice, you'll get exposure to a wide range of work to help prepare you for becoming a capable and confident tradesperson.

Key responsibilities

• Residential electrical installations and maintenance

• Commercial installations and maintenance

• Fault finding and electrical repairs

• Switchboard upgrades and alterations

• Lighting and power installations

• Air conditioning electrical works

• Renovations and new installations

• Preventative and scheduled maintenance

• Testing, compliance and electrical safety work

• Working independently and alongside other members of the team

About you

• Currently a 4th Year Electrical Apprentice or newly qualified electrician

• Current Australian driver's licence

• Takes pride in their workmanship

• Positive attitude and willing to learn

• Can communicate professionally with customers

• Reliable and turns up ready to work

• Can work independently as experience develops

• Works well as part of a team

• Understands the importance of electrical safety and compliance

• Keeps work area, vehicle and job sites organised

About us

Inghams Electrical is looking for a 4th Year Electrical Apprentice or Newly Qualified Electrician to join our growing team. We operate a 9-day fortnight, provide a company vehicle for suitable employees to take home, supply required PPE, and offer strong office support for scheduling, customer communication and administration. We believe a good workplace should be more than turning up, doing your hours and going home, and we organise team get-togethers and work functions throughout the year.
