About the role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer to maintain accurate financial records and support compliance for our clients. You will manage day‑to‑day accounting tasks including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reconciliations, ensuring clean, up‑to‑date books ready for management reporting and year‑end.
This role can be offered on a full‑time or part‑time basis, with flexible hours to suit the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
Record and categorise daily financial transactions in MYOB.
Manage end‑to‑end accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, receipts, and supplier/customer queries.
Perform bank, credit card, and ledger reconciliations.
Process payroll, including wages, superannuation, and related reporting.
Produce standard financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, aged debtors/creditors) for management.
Liaise with clients, staff, and external advisors as required.
About you
2+ years’ experience in a bookkeeping or accounts officer role (practice or in‑house).
Sound working knowledge of MYOB (AccountRight or MYOB Business) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a multi‑client environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with staff at all levels, management, and clients.
Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent experience
