We have an excellent opportunity for a medical receptionist to join our friendly team working 5 days per week. Immediate Start.
About the business
Premier Gastroenterology & Surgery is a specialist gastroenterology and surgical practice located centrally in Richmond. We have been operating for 12 years.
Our 4 doctors and 1 surgeon are currently supported by a full-time practice manager and two part-time receptionists. At Premier Gastroenterology we value respect, professionalism and attention to detail. Providing a high level of service is central to our vision of quality patient care.
On offer
Join a friendly, supportive and professional team
5 days each week (Mon-Friday), 9am-5pm.
This receptionist role will see you providing administrative support to our gastroenterologists, surgeon, dietitian and practice manager to help deliver the highest level of patient care. Your days will be busy, requiring excellent organisational skills and effective time management. You will be working in our small practice alongside our dedicated and supportive practice manager and another receptionist.
Responsibilities include:
Detailed preparation and running of consulting
Extensive diary and electronic records management (paperless practice with Genie)
Reception duties and administration support
Liaising with patients to coordinate their care
Liaising with hospitals and other health services
Patient recalls
Theatre procedure bookings
General office duties
Scanning and updating all patient-related correspondence and results
About You
You will be a receptionist who enjoys working in a small team and thrives in a busy and supported environment. You will be someone who enjoys assisting and exceeding the expectations of our patients, practice manager and doctors. You will be focused and organised, able to efficiently manage multiple priorities with ease and have great attention to detail. You should be someone who is flexible to assist as required and enjoy working cohesively with others to achieve practice goals.
Applicants must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
You will have:
A minimum of 1 year of medical receptionist experience (Genie software experience an advantage)
Excellent customer service skills
High level of attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor
High level of confidentiality and discretion
