What We Offer
About NAAFLS
The North Australian Aboriginal Family Legal Service (NAAFLS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation delivering culturally safe legal and support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence across the Top End.
With offices in Darwin, Katherine and Nhulunbuy, our work is grounded in cultural respect, community collaboration and self-determination. We provide holistic, wraparound support through our legal services, child protection and family law programs, Leaving Violence Program and Miyalk Safehouse, helping create safer futures for Aboriginal families and communities.
About the Role
NAAFLS is leading the delivery of the Leaving Violence Program – Top End Regional Trial providing culturally safe, practical and financial support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing family violence. The NAAFLS-led Top End Regional trial forms part of a national expansion of the Leaving Violence Program with trials run concurrently in Cairns, Broome and Dubbo.
We are seeking a compassionate and organised LVP Intake and Administration Officer to join our team in Darwin. As the first point of contact for many clients, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, welcoming, and culturally responsive environment for Aboriginal victim-survivors accessing support through the Leaving Violence Program (LVP).
Reporting to the LVP Coordinator, you will support the coordination of client intake processes, assist with referrals and appointments, maintain accurate records, and work collaboratively with legal, intake, and case work teams to ensure clients are connected with the right services in a timely and culturally safe manner.
This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, a strong commitment to cultural safety, and the ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal clients, communities, and stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and who understands the importance of culturally safe, trauma-informed and client-centred service delivery.
