The Role:

We're looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to become a technical anchor within our Commercial Delivery team. You'll bring clarity to complex solution decisions, including the ones with no established playbook to follow, help shape and validate technical estimates, and provide a steady technical perspective throughout client engagements.

You'll remain hands-on, designing and building solutions across Microsoft Power Platform and the broader Microsoft ecosystem. We know that people with a genuine passion for technology still want to build, experiment and solve difficult problems, including the ones nobody's quite cracked yet. Staying connected to delivery will keep your judgement sharp, your skills current and your perspective grounded in what works in practice.

Your influence will extend beyond your own projects. You'll help strengthen and scale our technical processes, patterns and standards, introduce more innovative ways of working, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to other consultants. This is technical leadership, not formal people management.

There's also room to get involved in how Sensei applies AI and automation across our business and client solutions, including some problems that don't have an established answer yet. You'll work across Microsoft's ecosystem and emerging technologies, contributing ideas and helping turn what's promising into something practical for clients.

Demand for smarter project and portfolio management keeps growing, and so does the need for good technical specialists. Sensei's been helping clients work smarter for years, and AI and automation are part of where that's heading next.

Key responsibilities

• Bring clarity to complex solution decisions and provide a steady technical perspective across client engagements, including problems without a precedent to follow.
• Help shape and validate technical estimates, and act as the escalation point when significant technical risk or solution challenges arise.
• Do real, hands-on development work – building Model-Driven Power Apps, writing plugins and custom APIs, and coding across the Microsoft Power Platform and broader Microsoft ecosystem, not just reviewing what others build.
• Strengthen and scale our technical processes, patterns and standards, and help introduce more innovative ways of working.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other consultants – this is technical leadership, not formal people management.
• Support Sales during presales – solution scoping, effort estimation, and technical input into proposals and client opportunities.
• Get involved in how Sensei applies AI and automation across our business and client solutions, including problems without an established answer yet.
• Act as a genuine ambassador for Sensei with clients, partners and industry stakeholders.

Sound interesting? Here's the key skill set you'll need to qualify:

• 5+ years' experience in technical consulting or solution delivery, with a strong number of successful projects you’ve helped deliver.
• Proven experience providing technical leadership and mentoring others – formally or informally – without needing a reporting line to do it.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in Model-Driven Power Apps and Dynamics 365 development, including plugins and custom APIs – this is the core of the role.
• Strong JavaScript, C#/.NET, HTML and CSS, with the SQL and documentation habits to back them up.
• Confident with Power Automate, and comfortable across Canvas Apps/custom pages, PCF, Power BI reports, front-end frameworks and Office 365 development.
• Some exposure to Project for the Web, paginated reports, PowerShell, Empower or Project Online Configuration is useful, though we don't expect deep experience across all of them.
• Genuine curiosity about AI and automation, and comfort working through problems that don't come with a proven playbook yet.
• Comfortable shaping and validating technical estimates, and defending a scope or approach directly with a client.
• Excellent client-facing communication, written and verbal, and it holds up under pressure.
• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Business or a related discipline. Project management or Microsoft certifications highly regarded.
