Position Overview:

As a Care Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents living in our aged care facility. Your support enables residents to retain independence and maximise their quality of life in a safe and nurturing environment.

This permanent part-time role operates on a rotating roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts, with availability required Monday to Friday and the option to discuss weekend shifts if desired.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must have a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Care is highly desirable, or if you have a passion to begin your career in aged care and willing to obtain a qualification, we can help you get there!Must be able to work on a rotating roster with opportunities across morning, afternoon, and night shifts. Live locally or within reasonable commuting distance of Nambucca Heads.Have your own car or reliable transportation as there Is very limited public transportation. Be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold. Provide a culturally safe and inclusive work environment. Ability to adapt to changing shifts if required. A genuine passion for elderly care, empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
