About the role
Jayce Electrics & Engineering is a growing industrial and mining electrical contractor. We’re looking for an A-Grade Electrician from newly qualified through to 5 years post-trade who wants to build real skills across both site work and workshop-based switchboard construction.
This role offers variety — FIFO/DIDO work through the year, combined with hands-on workshop duties building and testing industrial switchboards and control systems.
You don’t need to know everything yet.
If you’ve got a solid base, a good attitude, and the drive to improve, we’ll invest in you.
Industrial & mining electrical site works (FIFO & DIDO)
Workshop-based construction of switchboards, MCCs & control panels
Wiring, testing and fault finding of control and power circuits
Motors, pumps & industrial equipment installations
Reading and working from drawings and schematics
Interstate projects across SA, NSW, QLD, with occasional overseas work
Are newly A-Grade up to 5 years post-trade
Want exposure to both on-site work and workshop fabrication
Are keen to learn switchboard building, MCCs & control systems
Are comfortable with FIFO/DIDO rosters and travel
Take pride in neat, compliant work
Want stability with long-term development
Current A-Grade Electrical License
White Card
Driver’s license
Manual driver’s license OR willingness to obtain one
Willingness to travel for work (FIFO, DIDO, interstate & overseas)
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Good safety awareness and attention to detail
Training in industrial & mining environments
Structured exposure to switchboard and MCC construction
Mentoring from experienced tradesmen
Instrumentation, automation & control system experience
Ongoing development as your skills grow
Pay aligned with experience and capability
FIFO/DIDO, site, travel & LAHA allowances paid correctly
Flights, accommodation and meals covered when travelling
