Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Sydney

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java / Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications in a cloud-native environment. You will play a key role in architecting microservices, driving engineering excellence, and delivering robust solutions that support critical business capabilities. The role offers opportunities to work on modern technologies, event-driven architectures, DevOps practices, and emerging AI-powered solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable microservices and event-driven applications.

• Solve complex technical challenges from architecture through production deployment.

• Translate business requirements into high-quality engineering solutions.

• Design reusable components and frameworks that can be leveraged across teams.

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align technical decisions with strategic goals.

• Drive engineering best practices, code quality, testing, and automation.

• Implement observability, monitoring, and reliability solutions using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.

• Apply security best practices including secrets management, certificate management, and secure application design.

• Design and build data-intensive and distributed applications using APIs, microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and SRE practices.

• Explore and integrate AI/ML capabilities to improve developer and customer experiences.
