Adelaide Mining Services (AMS) is seeking experienced Conveyor Belt Splicer and Rubber Lining Sole Traders and Subcontractors to join our growing network of trusted contractors for ongoing FIFO/LOCAL, shutdown, maintenance, and project work across South Australia and interstate operations.

Adelaide Mining Services provides skilled labour, conveyor maintenance, shutdown, mechanical maintenance, and parts supply solutions across the mining, quarrying, processing, and industrial sectors throughout Australia.

As our conveyor maintenance division continues to expand, we are seeking experienced subcontractors who can safely deliver high-quality conveyor maintenance, belt splicing, and rubber lining services while representing AMS professionally across a wide range of client operations.

As an AMS subcontractor, you will be engaged across a variety of mining, quarrying, ports, processing plants, and industrial facilities undertaking:

• Planned shutdowns

• Conveyor belt maintenance

• Emergency breakdown response

• Belt installations and replacements

• Rubber lining projects

• Pulley lagging and conveyor component replacement

• FIFO, regional and local maintenance projects

• Long-term site maintenance contracts

Projects range from planned shutdowns and scheduled maintenance through to emergency breakdown support and capital conveyor upgrades.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

• Hot and cold conveyor belt splicing

• Steel cord and fabric belt splicing

• Conveyor belt installations and replacements

• Mechanical belt fastening

• Rubber lining of chutes, hoppers, pipes, tanks, launders, and processing equipment

• Pulley lagging and conveyor pulley maintenance

• Conveyor inspections and condition reporting

• Installation and replacement of conveyor rollers, idlers, skirting, scrapers, impact beds, and wear liners

• Shutdown and breakdown maintenance

• Working safely within high-risk mining and industrial environments

• Completing work to AMS and client quality standards

• Maintaining professional communication while representing Adelaide Mining Services on client sites

Applicants must hold:

• Current ABN

• Appropriate Public Liability Insurance

• Workers Compensation Insurance (or applicable exemption)

• Current Driver's Licence

• Relevant Australian working rights

• Demonstrated experience in conveyor belt splicing, rubber lining, or conveyor maintenance

• Experience working within mining, quarrying, ports, bulk handling, or heavy industrial environments

• Ability to pass site medicals and drug & alcohol testing

• Ability to travel and work FIFO rosters where required

• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and quality workmanship

• Experience with steel cord belt splicing

• Experience with rubber lining and ceramic lining systems

• Pulley lagging experience

• Experience working on crushing, screening, conveying, and materials handling systems

• Shutdown planning and supervisory experience
