About the role
About the role
As the Coordinator Early Years Services, you will lead the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of Council's early years services across Yarra Ranges. You will work closely with children, families, community organisations, service providers and government partners to ensure services are inclusive, sustainable and responsive to the needs of local communities.
You will provide leadership across a diverse range of programs and services, including Supported Playgroups, the Preschool Field Officer Program, Best Start, Kindergarten Engagement initiatives, volunteer programs and professional development opportunities for the sector. You'll guide long-term service planning, oversee funding and compliance requirements, build strong partnerships, support early years infrastructure planning, and provide expert advice to senior leaders to ensure services remain high quality, accessible and future focused.
This is a full-time permanent (38 hours per week) band 7 role with a salary range rate between $110,534 and $119,249 per annum, plus superannuation.

Experience and skills we’re looking for
Experience leading early years, community development, education, family support or related services.
Experience developing and implementing strategies, policies or service improvement initiatives.
The ability to manage government funding agreements, compliance requirements and reporting obligations.
Experience leading and supporting teams to deliver high-quality services and community outcomes.
Strong knowledge of early years programs, services and current sector developments.
The ability to build productive partnerships with community organisations, government agencies and other stakeholders.
The ability to use data, research and community feedback to inform planning and decision-making.
Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing reports, briefings and recommendations.
The ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a complex environment.
A commitment to inclusive, culturally safe and child-focused service delivery.
