Performance Monitoring Officer (Regulation Officer)

Synergie Australia is seeking multiple APS5/6 Performance Monitoring Officers (Including Senior level) to join a trusted Federal regulatory authority, with opportunities available across Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, and Hobart.

The important parts:

• Pay: $56.94 - $64 per hour + Super | ⏳ Duration: 8 week contract (potential for extension)
• Hours: Monday–Friday, | 37.5 hrs per week | Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days WFH
• Essential: Australian Citizenship and Baseline Security Clearance essential

What you will be required to do:

You’ll join a national regulatory team responsible for monitoring performance, assessing risk, and supporting quality outcomes across a highly regulated sector.

• Conduct site-based and desktop monitoring activities and assessments
• Analyse complex data and intelligence from multiple sources
• Identify risks and make evidence-based recommendations
• Interpret and apply legislation, policy, and regulatory frameworks
• Prepare high-quality reports (APS5 drafting / APS6 sign-off)
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate findings and outcomes
• Escalate significant risks and compliance issues where required

To be successful in the role you will:

• Have experience in compliance, regulatory, audit, governance, or investigations environments
• Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Be able to interpret and apply legislation and policy frameworks Possess excellent written communication and report-writing skills
• Have strong stakeholder engagement and conflict-resolution capabilities
• Be able to manage workload, priorities, and deadlines independently
• Have a current Baseline security clearance for an immediate start
