THE ROLEAs Development Manager, you'll be a key player in overseeing the delivery of our mixed-use projects, including purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) and build-to-rent (BTR) - helping ensure our planning and acquisition outcomes align with our strategic and sustainability targets, and that every project we deliver is a best-in-class living environment.
You'll manage the front-end delivery of complex, large-scale projects, working across development, design, construction and ESG, while representing TLC with authorities, joint venture partners and external consultants.
Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):Managing the front-end delivery of complex, large-scale projects, including feasibilities, forecasting and development applicationsProviding technical and commercial oversight across development, design, procurement and construction workstreamsRepresenting TLC with planning authorities, joint venture partners and external consultantsCoordinating architects, engineers and specialist consultants to keep projects aligned to budget, schedule and guidelinesLeading contract negotiations and tender processes, working closely with the Construction team to select top-tier partnersPreparing project reports, tracking budgets and costs, and keeping stakeholders and the management board informed
WHAT YOU'LL BRING5-8+ years' experience in Property, Architecture, Construction or a related disciplineDemonstrated experience contributing to and managing large-scale residential development projects in NSWSignificant experience in property development or construction in AustraliaProven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budgetDeep understanding of the property development lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and operationsStrong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and financial reportingExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams
