Clermont Open Cut, located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, dynamic, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes. Reporting to Mining & Mining Support Supervisors, we have multiple vacancies for the following:

Experienced Shovel OperatorsExperienced Excavator Operators

To be successful in these roles, you will have the ability to safely and confidently operate at least one of the following:

Hitachi 5600 / 5500-6 / 3600P&H 4100 XPC

As an Operator at Clermont Open Cut your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The safe and efficient operation of heavy mobile equipmentPerforming the full range of mining tasks to meet production targetsPromoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the Clermont Open Cut valuesPromoting positive relationships with our stakeholders and community; andTaking all reasonable steps to minimise impact on the environment.

Current Standard 11 Induction (desirable)Current Coal Board Medical (desirable)Verified Training Transcript/Skills listCurrent Australian Driver’s LicenseRight to work in AustraliaStrong commitment to safety and a continuous improvement cultureThe ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a dynamic, changing environmentBe a team player with a high level of safety awarenessMost importantly, a positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to working proactively
