Vehicle Detailer / Yard Assistant

About the role

The Vehicle Detailer / Yard Assistant is responsible for the cleaning, preparation, movement, and presentation of vehicles across the business. In joining our detailing team, you will work collaboratively with our existing detailer to manage the increasing volume of vehicle deliveries, stock preparation, and content requirements. Workload will be shared and coordinated between both detailers to maintain smooth daily operations, manage peak periods, and ensure all vehicles are prepared efficiently and to a consistent standard.

Key responsibilities

• Cleaning, detailing, and preparing vehicles for delivery or photography

• Transporting vehicles between sites as required

• Completing fuel runs

• Ensuring keys and accessories are handled and recorded correctly

• Using and accounting for trade plates in line with company procedures

• Reporting and documenting any vehicle damage or concerns

• Maintaining yard presentation and assisting with vehicle movements

• Liaising with sales, workshop, and pre-delivery teams to meet deadlines

About you

• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation

• Manual driver's licence with a clear driving history

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

• Clear communication skills and a positive, reliable attitude

• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively

• Good work ethic and willingness to follow procedures
