As part of the federally funded Community Visiting Scheme; compassionate, caring and friendly volunteers are needed to visit and provide social support to an elderly person living in their home.
It is purely about social interaction, connection and conversation so as to provide some joy and pleasure in the life of this person.
The role is very flexible and no set time or day is needed, as long as a weekly or fortnightly visit can be met. Individuals who are willing to give a little bit of their time in conversation, who are reliable, patient and compassionate, and have a positive attitude for life are encouraged to apply.
