About the Role

Above award pay to attract above average people.

MR license essential

• 3 years' driving experience essential. 5 years' experience preferred. No beginners please. Please do not apply if you do not have this experience.

• Experience in the furniture removal industry an advantage.

Casual at first with the opportunity to establish a permanent part time role as we expand. You will drive a truck to the clients and perform onsite document destruction. Jobs range from small to very large.

Key Responsibilities will Include:

• Driving the mobile shredding truck and operating the shredding machinery

• On-time service with a smile while treating the equipment like you own it

• Solve on-the-job problems as they arise

• Record details and costing of each job throughout the day and send details of the day's run to head office via text at the end of each day

• Must be computer literate

• For some jobs, you will collect payment on the spot via a mobile EFTPOS machine or cash

To be successful in this role requires the following:

• You are a good driver, that's a given

• You prefer arriving safely over being on time

• Experience in furniture removal an advantage

• A minimum 3 years' experience as an MR driver is essential. Preferably in Melbourne's leafy inner eastern suburbs with awareness of overhanging tree and low bridges

• You are a reliable, punctual, fit, flexible, well presented, professional, clear thinking team player with a friendly, optimistic "can-do" attitude, who loves to deliver service with a smile and keep the customer happy

• You enjoy physical work. Some days, this job can be very physical. Not heavy lifting, but constant light work.

• You have a good work ethic

• Ability to think on your feet. Stuff happens every day and you will be responsible for fixing it without the need to call head office

• You love driving and become one with the machine

• You have grace under pressure. You can keep you cool and embrace problems as opportunities to learn

• Flexibility, the customer route will change throughout the day. This is normal. You should be able to manage this change without stress

• Australian citizenship is required to work legally in this position

Tech skills

• You must be proficient with technology

• You must have a smart phone (Apple or Android) with the following apps installed

  • Google Maps

  • Google Calendar

  • Gmail
