About the OpportunityCoonamble Shire Council is seeking a full-time Manager Infrastructure Programming based in Coonamble, NSW.
Reporting to the Director Infrastructure, you'll provide strategic leadership across Council's infrastructure planning and programming while leading a multidisciplinary team responsible for capital works, infrastructure projects and asset inspections. This is an opportunity to influence organisational direction, build capability within a newly structured team, and help shape the future of infrastructure delivery across the Shire.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Leading Council's infrastructure planning, programming and capital works deliveryDeveloping strategic work programs aligned with Council priorities and long-term objectivesCoordinating infrastructure projects, budgets, procurement and resource planningLeading and mentoring a multidisciplinary team while fostering a collaborative, high-performing cultureOverseeing infrastructure asset inspections across roads, bridges, stormwater and public assetsBuilding strong relationships with contractors, consultants, government agencies and community stakeholdersMonitoring project performance, financial outcomes, risks and reporting requirementsSupporting Transport for NSW prequalification and RMCC program deliveryDriving continuous improvement across infrastructure planning, project delivery and asset management practicesEnsuring compliance with procurement, contract management, WHS and environmental obligations

About YouTo qualify, you'll bring demonstrated leadership experience delivering infrastructure, capital works, civil construction, asset management or major projects, supported by tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Asset Management or a related discipline. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered. Significant experience leading teams, managing programs and delivering strategic infrastructure outcomes will be essential.
You'll also bring:Strong understanding of project, contract and procurement managementExperience managing infrastructure programs, budgets and resourcesSound knowledge of asset management principlesStrong commercial and financial acumenHigh-level computer literacy across Microsoft Office and relevant technical softwareClass C Driver Licence (or equivalent)White Construction Induction CardAustralian work rights
