Role Description The Pharmacy Student role is a part-time, on-site position based in Safety Beach, VIC. In this role, the Pharmacy Student supports pharmacists with dispensing medications, managing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records under appropriate supervision. The position involves assisting customers with over-the-counter products, providing basic product information, and directing more complex inquiries to pharmacists. Day-to-day tasks include stock management, preparing and labeling medications, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and complying with pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements. The role also offers opportunities to develop practical pharmacy skills and gain exposure to community pharmacy operations in a busy retail environment.
Qualifications

Foundational knowledge in Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, with progress toward a recognized pharmacy degree.Ability to deliver safe, patient-centered Pharmaceutical Care under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.Strong Communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with customers, colleagues, and healthcare providers.Customer Service skills focused on empathy, efficiency, and respectful support for diverse community members.Attention to detail and accuracy in handling prescriptions, labeling, and record-keeping.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment, including evenings and weekends as required.Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and adherence to relevant pharmacy regulations and standards.Previous experience in a community pharmacy or retail setting is beneficial but not essential.
