About us
Padgett's Pinebark is a Tasmanian family-owned production and distribution business based in Scottsdale. We manufacture and distribute pine bark, mulch and specialised wood fibre products throughout Tasmania, supplying customers across landscaping, horticulture, agriculture, playground, environmental and commercial markets. Our products utilise residues from Tasmania's forestry industry to manufacture useful, value-added products for a diverse range of applications.

About the role
Working directly with management and our production and distribution teams, you will take responsibility for managing customer relationships, growing sales and helping ensure production remains aligned with customer demand. This is a varied, hands-on position combining sales, customer relationship management, new business growth and production coordination. The role provides an important link between our customers, production operation and distribution network.
Key responsibilities
Manage and develop existing customer relationships.
Actively identify, approach and secure new customers.
Identify new markets and applications for our products.
Visit existing and prospective customers throughout Tasmania.
Respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and follow up sales opportunities.
Identify opportunities to increase sales across existing accounts.
Maintain visibility over customer orders and forward demand.
Monitor finished-product stock levels and availability.
Help coordinate weekly and forward production priorities.
Communicate upcoming customer requirements to production personnel.
About you
Commercially minded and confident dealing with customers.
Motivated to actively pursue new sales and customers.
Practical and comfortable in a production environment.
Strong at building long-term customer relationships.
Confident approaching prospective customers.
Well organised and capable of planning ahead.
Reliable with communication and follow-up.
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the role.
Able to coordinate competing sales and production priorities.
Current driver's licence required.
Benefits
$80,000 – $110,000 annual salary, depending on experience and capability.
