Senior Event & Operations Manager

About the role

This is an experienced event professional role where you will take ownership of events from initial planning through to on-the-ground delivery and post-event reconciliation. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will become a senior operational lead within the business, responsible for turning an approved event concept and budget into a well-planned, commercially sound and successfully delivered event. You'll manage multiple projects, suppliers, contractors, staff and stakeholders and will be trusted to make decisions, solve problems and keep events moving. On event days, you'll be on the ground leading the delivery, execution and packdown of events.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of festivals, public events, activations and hospitality experiences
• Develop and manage event timelines, critical paths, budgets and operational plans
• Prepare Event Management Plans, run sheets, site plans, schedules, risk documentation and event briefs
• Manage suppliers, contractors, production teams and event stakeholders
• Coordinate staging, AV, infrastructure, fencing, amenities, security, medical, waste and other event services
• Manage event sites, including bump-in, event delivery and bump-out
• Work with artists, agents, talent and production teams
• Manage permits, approvals, licensing requirements and compliance documentation
• Monitor event expenditure and deliver events within approved budgets
• Conduct post-event debriefs, reconciliations and reporting

About you

• Demonstrated experience independently planning and delivering medium-to-large-scale events (5,000-15,000 pax)
• Strong event operations and on-site management experience
• Experience managing multiple suppliers, contractors and stakeholders
• Strong budgeting and commercial awareness
• Experience managing staff and event-day teams
• Excellent organisational and project-management skills
• Strong written communication and event documentation skills
• Confidence making decisions and solving problems under pressure
• An understanding of event safety, compliance, licensing and risk management
• A current driver's licence (both manual and automatic)
