We are looking for an exceptional Bioinformatics Analyst to bring strong expertise in biostatistics, data science, and computational analysis to our innovative research programs. Working alongside leading researchers and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll help uncover new insights from complex biological data and develop computational approaches that advance our understanding of cancer. You’ll have the opportunity to work at the intersection of biology, data science, and technology, helping translate cutting-edge research into meaningful scientific discoveries.
Work that matters
The Data Sciences Unit within the Computational Systems Oncology program at the South Australian immunoGENomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI) is responsible for data stewardship and provides core biostatistical support, as well as enabling the design, analysis, and interpretation of complex biomedical data with a strong focus on integrative and translational research. The Unit has expertise in the management and analysis of multi-omics datasets, including genomics, proteomics, lipidomics, and metabolomics, and works closely with researchers to ensure robust study design, reproducibility, and statistical inference.

The team
The role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in data analysis, statistics, bioinformatics, and computational biology, who are excited to apply rigorous analytical and statistical approaches to real biological and biomedical problems. Support and mentorship will be provided to help strong quantitative researchers further develop their biological and bioinformatics expertise and apply their skills effectively in a Bioinformatics Analyst role.
