SURGICAL IMPLANT COORDINATOR / SURGICAL DENTAL ASSISTANT

Full-Time | Devonport, Tasmania

Shree Dental & Implant Centre is looking for a highly organised, clinically minded and motivated person to join our team in a specialised role supporting advanced dental implant surgery.

This is not a traditional dental assisting position.

The role combines hands-on surgical assisting with the preparation, organisation and coordination of our implant surgery days. You will work closely with our implant clinician and clinical team, helping ensure every procedure is carefully prepared, runs efficiently and provides patients with a calm, safe and supportive experience.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We would love to hear from:

• Experienced Dental Assistants
• Registered Nurses (RN)
• Enrolled Nurses (EN)
• Theatre, perioperative or day-surgery professionals
• Healthcare professionals with strong clinical skills who are interested in developing a career in implant surgery

Previous implant experience is highly regarded but NOT essential.

For the right person, we will provide comprehensive training in dental implant surgery, surgical workflows, instrumentation and full-arch implant procedures.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing surgeries, instruments, implant components and equipment
• Chairside assisting during implant and advanced surgical procedures
• Coordinating and preparing implant surgery days
• Supporting patients before, during and after surgery
• Providing post-operative instructions and coordinating follow-up care
• Maintaining surgical instruments, equipment and implant stock
• Following strict infection prevention, sterilisation and patient-safety protocols
• Completing surgical checklists and clinical documentation accurately
• Anticipating the needs of the clinician and surgical team
• Helping create an organised, efficient and reassuring experience for our patients

You will work alongside Dr Sanjay Mali, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, and gain practical experience in a highly specialised area of dentistry.
