Production Forklift Operator – afternoon shift

With manufacturing facilities in Victoria (Epping & Maryborough), Queensland (Nerang), South Australia (Dublin) and multiple Sales, Warehouse and Distribution sites/offices Nationally, a new opportunity now exists for an experienced Forklift Driver/Operator to work casually with our afternoon shift teams in Epping.

The Opportunity:

As a Forklift Operator, some of the required functions of this role include (but not limited to) :

• Unloading of Trucks

• Receipting of Raw Materials & Packaging

• Batching of Raw Materials & Packaging for production

• Effectively utilise management systems to maximize efficiency and productivity of work flow and allocate resources in various picking zones to ensure timely completion and flow of picking process.

• Collect and organize finish goods demand.

• Picking orders, Loading containers, Palletising cartons

• Stage finished goods to be prepared for shipment in accordance with the orders schedule.

• General Production & housekeeping duties

• Driving and picking with high Reach forklift

• Using RF scanning for picking and Packing  

To therefore be considered for this opportunity, we are seeking to hear from applicants who possess :

• A current Forklift (High Reach) Licence is preferred, otherwise a current LF/LO forklift licence is required (mandatory)

• Previous Warehouse experience within a food manufacturing environment will be preferred, but not essential.

• Good written documentation skills and accuracy of information

• The ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be punctual

• A track record of reliability & dependability in relation to attendance and work ethic.

• Be physically fit. Capable of some heavy lifting.

• RF scanning system experience for picking and packing

Remuneration on offer will be market applicable within the Foodservices industry and the successful applicant must be available to work 38 hours per week plus overtime if required. With afternoon shift available, the hours of employment for this role will be 2.00pm to 10.00pm and will attract the appropriate afternoon shift payment allowances.

Please note - candidates who do not possess a current and valid forklift licence at the time of their application will not be considered.

As the Edlyn site is based in the northern suburbs with no immediate access to public transport close and available, access to your own transport for the daily commute to the site, will also be highly beneficial (with plenty of free on-site parking available). All applicants must also be in possession of current and fully unrestricted valid working rights to work in Australia at the time of their application and please also note that Edlyn Foods conducts regular drug and alcohol screening across our workforce and has a strict zero limit required policy in these regards.
