As a Community Mental Health RN, you'll work within multidisciplinary teams delivering high‑quality, recovery‑focused support to consumers living in the community with complex mental health needs.
Your responsibilities may include:
Comprehensive mental health assessments and risk management
Care coordination, case management and recovery‑focused planning
Medication administration, monitoring and community follow‑up
Crisis intervention, safety planning and de‑escalation
Trauma‑informed, consumer‑centred engagement
Collaborative work with medical, nursing, allied health and psychosocial teams
Accurate clinical documentation and case notes
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum 2 years recent Community Mental Health experience
Experience in crisis, acute community care, case management or outreach highly regarded
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Relevant SA‑based clearances as required
Full Australian working rights
Current driver's licence essential for community‑based roles
Community Mental Health Nurses play a vital role in supporting consumers to live safely and independently while reducing hospital admissions and improving long‑term outcomes.
