We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Head of Department: Mathematics to lead our proactive, collegial, and dedicated Mathematics team. This team is responsible for delivering outstanding teaching and learning programs across Years 7 to 12.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Mathematics curriculum and associated assessment practices and will possess the skills to implement high-impact teaching strategies that maximise student achievement. They will be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets individual student needs and enables every student to pursue personal excellence.

The ability to teach Years 11 and 12 Specialist Mathematics is essential.

This position comprises:  0.2 FTE Leadership Responsibilities & 0.8 FTE Teaching Load

About You

You are a compassionate, organised, and highly effective educator who brings:

.         A Bachelor of Education (or equivalent qualification) and current TRBWA registration
.         Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to lead and inspire a team
.         A commitment to continual professional growth through reflection and evidence-based improvement
.         The ability to teach ATAR Mathematics, including Specialist Mathematics
.         Demonstrated experience teaching Mathematics across Years 7 to 12
.         Strong knowledge of the Western Australian Mathematics Curriculum
.         The ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
.         A sound understanding of assessment practices and data-informed teaching
.         A collaborative approach to curriculum development and professional learning
.         A commitment to supporting the Mission, Vision, Ethos, and Core Values of Swan Valley Anglican Community School.
