APS Level 6 - Data Analyst - Data Acquisition Section

This position provides input into the oversight of the end-to-end data acquisition cycle, from specification to provision of high-quality data sets for users within the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA).

Key responsibilities:

• Working closely with various stakeholders to implement new data warehouse and process for managing the IHACPA aged care activity and cost data.
• Providing technical support to data collection covering data acquisitions, analysis, monitoring, validating, information security, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintaining technical material such as tools in Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and Sequential Query Language (SQL) to transform and consolidate data as required.
• Working with internal and external stakeholders to fill IHACPA reporting requirements in new Secure Data Management System build.
• Making inputs to IHACPA strategies, policies, priorities and work practices for various data management systems.
