About the role
Help shape Youthsafe’s next chapter. Youthsafe seeks expressions of interest from people who are excited by a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young Australians.
Bring your experience, energy and networks to preventing serious unintentional injury and improving the safety of young Australians.
This is a rare opportunity to help prevent serious unintentional injuries of young people: on our roads, our workplaces and sporting fields.
As part of a planned Board renewal and Chairperson succession process, Youthsafe is seeking to appoint one or more voluntary Non-executive Directors. One of the new Directors may subsequently be considered by the Board for election as Chairperson.
Youthsafe’s goal is to prevent serious youth injury, save lives and avoid the personal, family and community impacts of life-altering injuries through evidence-informed education, partnerships and advocacy.
We seek your experience or expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Previous Board or Chair experience is preferred but not essential. We are seeking people with sound judgement, strategic capability, personal agency and a genuine enthusiasm to help turbo-charge Youthsafe to new levels of growth and impact.
We strongly encourage applications from people with lived experience, people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds. We value the diversity of perspectives and experiences these individuals bring to governance and are committed to building a Board that reflects today's Australia.
If this opportunity interests you or you know someone who may be well suited, we would be pleased to provide an information pack about Youthsafe, its Board and the appointment process.
