INTERMEDIATE TAX & BUSINESS ACCOUNTANT – BRISBANE / REDLANDS – CLOUD-BASED ADVISORY FIRM – CAREER GROWTH (JOB ID 1630)

Our client is a progressive, technology-driven Chartered Accounting and Business Advisory firm based in Capalaba, supporting SMEs, professional services businesses, healthcare, NDIS providers, construction and growth-focused business owners across Brisbane, Redlands and the Gold Coast. As Xero Gold Partners and MYOB specialists, they combine accounting, tax, bookkeeping, business advisory, SMSF, CFO and wealth solutions to help clients build stronger businesses and better financial futures.   

The Role: 

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns and compliance work for individuals, companies, trusts and business clients 

• Assist with BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax and broader tax compliance obligations 

• Support tax planning, structuring and advisory projects for SME and growth-focused clients 

• Work closely with Senior Accountants, Managers and Partners on diverse client engagements 

• Build trusted client relationships through proactive communication and responsive service 

• Utilise leading cloud systems including Xero, MYOB and integrated advisory technologies 

• Assist with business improvement, cash flow, reporting and strategic advisory initiatives 

• Develop your technical and commercial skills through structured mentoring and funded study support 

About You: 

• 2+ years’ Australian public practice accounting experience 

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline 

• CA/CPA commenced or intending to commence 

• Solid experience across tax compliance, financial statements and business services 

• Exposure to Xero, MYOB or cloud accounting systems 

• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills 

• Eager to grow beyond compliance into advisory and client-facing work 

• Proactive, tech-savvy and motivated to build a long-term professional career
