The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a passionate and community-focused individual to work with families and communities to promote the importance of preschool education and encourage future enrolments in preschool services.

As a Pre-school Liaison Officer, you will:

• Undertake community engagement activities in the local and surrounding communities to understand and address the educational needs of families with 2 and 3 year olds.
• Perform outreach to playgroups and other services supporting parents of toddlers to educate and inform families about the importance of preschool education.
• Liaise with community stakeholders to develop bridging programs for children unable to get in to care.
• Collect statistics and prepare reports about internal and external engagement activities.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a minimum Certificate III in Childrens Services or other relevant qualification and has three (3) years' of recent experience in early childhood education (indicative).

You will have the following skills and experience;

• Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the importance of preschool education to a child’s development.
• Demonstrated ability to form strong relationships with families, community members and service providers.
• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and conduct evaluations.
• Skills in influencing, informing and promoting services to adults.
• Possesses a high level of integrity and experience in working independently.

Benefits

This is a fixed term, grant-funded, part-time position working 28 hours per week until 31 December 2026.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $83,166.72 gross per annum (paid pro-rata), comprising of:

• $1,428.00 per week base salary (paid pro-rata)
• $171.36 per week superannuation (calculated at 12% and paid pro-rata)
