Full Time Experienced Aluminium Welder – Heavy Aluminium Fabrication

About the role

Working as part of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of heavy-duty aluminium products and components. This is a hands-on, full-time role suited to someone who takes pride in producing strong, clean and high-quality welds and has genuine experience welding heavy aluminium sections and components.

Key responsibilities

• MIG welding of thick and heavy-gauge aluminium

• Welding aluminium plate, tube, extrusion and fabricated components

• Preparing material and joints prior to welding

• Reading and working from drawings, measurements and fabrication instructions

• Setting and adjusting welding equipment to suit different material thicknesses

• Producing strong, consistent and visually clean welds

• Grinding, finishing and preparing completed work where required

• Checking completed work for quality and dimensional accuracy

• Working with other fabricators and production staff to complete jobs efficiently

• Maintaining a clean and safe work area

About you

• Strong previous experience in aluminium MIG welding

• Proven experience welding thick aluminium plate and sections

• Excellent understanding of heat control, penetration and weld preparation

• Ability to produce consistent, high-quality aluminium welds

• Experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment

• Ability to read basic fabrication drawings

• Good attention to detail

• Strong commitment to quality and workmanship

• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
