AC-TEC Services is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team.

About Us

AC-TEC Services has been servicing South East Queensland since 2007. We are a commercial HVAC company, specialising in air conditioning sales, service, maintenance, repairs and asset management.

We look after a wide range of commercial sites and equipment, and our approach is to properly maintain our customers' assets rather than simply attend when something breaks down.

We take pride in the standard of our work and the service we provide to our customers, and we're looking for technicians who have the same approach.

This is a commercial HVAC role – we do not focus on residential work. Commercial experience is highly regarded.

Experience with Chillers, BMS, VRF/VRV and larger commercial systems would be an advantage.

The Role

As a Service Technician, your day-to-day work will include servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of commercial HVAC/R equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and repairing HVAC, refrigeration and associated control systems

• Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance

• Servicing and maintaining VRF/VRV, refrigeration, chillers, water-cooled package units, essential services and split systems

• HVAC installations and equipment replacements

• Fault finding and diagnosing equipment issues

• Working with BMS systems

• Identifying issues with equipment and providing recommendations to customers

• Working with our team to resolve more complex technical issues

• Communicating with customers and providing good customer service

• Recording accurate job and service details using SimPRO

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as an HVAC/R Service Technician

• Relevant HVAC/R qualifications and licences

• Experience with BMS systems – highly regarded

• Chiller installation and servicing experience – highly regarded

• Commercial HVAC & installation experience – highly regarded

• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• Good understanding of industry standards, codes and safety practices

• Good communication and customer service skills

• High attention to detail and quality workmanship

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, honest and professional

• Current driver's licence

Minimum Requirements

• Certificate III Refrigeration / Air Conditioning Mechanic

• Current ARC Licence

• Current Restricted Electrical Licence

• Construction Card (White Card)

• Current Driver's Licence

• Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
