About the role
The Team
The Litigation Group’s Executive Coordination Team (ECT) is a collaborative team of approximately six professionals who are responsible for compiling various reports regarding the Litigation Group’s 5,000 + files for clients and work closely with supervising counsel and colleagues across the Legal Services Branch. The Role
As a paralegal, you’ll provide services within the Litigation Group on large, complex, sensitive, and high-profile cases, as well as in areas of high-volume litigation, which impact delivery of Branch and Ministry objectives. The ECT is responsible for managing all originating service for the Legal Services Branch (including all documents commencing claims, petitions, or other matters against the Attorney General or the Province of British Columbia), assessing the matters, and managing the matters until they are transferred to assigned to counsel to assume conduct of the matters. The role works with a range of clients and stakeholders, using clear communication, sound judgment, and attention to detail to help ensure legal services are organized, accessible, and delivered fairly and respectfully.
