The Role

Seeking a Safety Management Engineer to support Defence aviation capability through the delivery of system safety engineering services across complex acquisition and sustainment environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system safety plans, specifications, procedures and reports
• Conduct system safety analysis, verification and validation activities
• Support hazard identification, risk assessment and certification activities
• Review technical designs and engineering deliverables from a safety perspective
• Provide system safety engineering advice in accordance with Defence standards and requirements

Required

• Degree-qualified Engineer recognised under the Washington Accord
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent
• Experience developing and implementing safety management plans within Defence or complex engineering environments
• Experience conducting system safety analysis, hazard assessments and certification activities
• Minimum 12 months’ experience within a materiel system safety program
• Current NV1 Security Clearance
• Ability to work onsite in Canberra ACT
