Civil Earthworks Supervisor - 8/6 DIDO/FIFO

Create is a fast-growing civil earthworks and piping construction company located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. We deliver bulk and detailed earthworks projects at BMA sites, with a 3-year contract secured at Caval Ridge, ongoing works at Saraji and Peak Downs, and a growing pipeline of upcoming work.

The Role

This is a hands-on supervision role running a crew of civil operators and equipment to deliver earthworks projects across site.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for:

• Planning and running earthworks circuits — fleet allocation, daily targets and putting the right operators in the right seats

• Managing day-to-day delivery — prestarts, permits, work packs and progress against program

• Delivering the works to the drawings and documentation, with quality checked as you go

• Leading your crew and setting the standard on safety and quality

• Operating equipment when the job requires it

• Working with the client's site team on a daily basis

Requirements

• BMA Supervisor authorisation (any open cut site), held for a minimum of 1 year

• Recent experience supervising crews for a civil contractor on BMA or similar tier one mining sites

• Proven ability to take a job from the drawings and see it through

• Ability to operate earthworks plant to a competent level

• G1/8/9 (previously S1/2/3) & G2 supervisor competencies, current QLD Coal Board Medical, Standard 11 and BMA inductions, and an Australian Driver's Licence

• Computer literate — comfortable with permits, work packs, reporting and site systems

• Our crews pitch in and get it done — we need a supervisor who sets that standard, backs their operators to do their job, and keeps a firm hand when it's needed

• Pride in your work, a strong safety commitment and a can-do attitude are a must
