Located in Melbourne's western suburbs, this Catholic co-educational secondary college serves Years 7 to 12 within the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) network. With approximately 1,800+ students, the college is one of the largest Catholic secondary schools in the region and continues to grow, with a new P-12 campus planned for 2027.

The college operates a dedicated Year 9 campus designed to support the unique developmental needs of students in the transition years. Senior pathways include VCE subjects, VCE VM, and VET, alongside a strong STEAM program. Co-curricular opportunities span performing arts, outdoor education and sports.

Role Overview

• Position Type: Full Time Permanent
• Position of Leadership: POL 3
• Start Date: Term 1, 2027 (January)
• Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs
• Year Levels: Allocated based on college needs
• Reports to: Director of Student Wellbeing
• Salary: $89,218 to $127,692 (inclusive of $9,629 POL allowance)

Role Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to students, staff and families across an allocated year level cohort, fostering wellbeing, pastoral care, positive behaviours and community engagement
• Lead individual case management of student performance and wellbeing, implementing appropriate interventions and maintaining clear records of communications with students, families, staff and external agencies
• Build a strong sense of team with Pastoral and Learning Mentors and collaborate with the broader Wellbeing Team to ensure all students are connected, engaged and supported
• Lead and implement a culture of Restorative Practices, conducting Student Support meetings and supporting year level retreats, excursions and whole-school events
• Plan and deliver year level assemblies and wellbeing programs, supporting student voice, agency and connectedness across college life
• Liaise with the Counselling Team, Learning Diversity Team and Strategic Wellbeing Team to coordinate holistic support for students and families at risk

About You
You're a qualified teacher who:

• Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
• Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
• Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
• Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
• Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
