Payroll Specialist

Love working with systems? Enjoy solving problems? Have an eye for the details others might miss?

We’re looking for two people to join our payroll team to cover parental leave on 12-moth fixed-term contracts. These opportunities could be filled through a combination of full-time or part-time arrangements, so we’re open to discussing what may work best for the right candidates.

You don’t need to be a payroll expert to apply. While payroll experience would be helpful, we’re equally interested in people who are confident with technology, curious about how things work and motivated to learn something new.

As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll help make sure our employees are paid accurately and on time. You’ll work with people across HR, Finance and Scheduling, answer payroll questions and support improvements to our systems and processes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Processing and maintaining accurate payroll information
• Responding to employee payroll enquiries
• Working collaboratively with HR, Finance and Scheduling teams
• Supporting payroll improvements and system enhancements
• Identifying and resolving payroll-related issues
• Helping deliver an accurate and reliable payroll experience

• Confidence working with systems and technology
• Great attention to detail
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A collaborative and positive approach
• Curiosity, adaptability and a willingness to learn
• A commitment to getting things right

• Previous payroll experience
• Retail or high-volume operational experience
• Strong Excel capability
