Port Macquarie Private Hospital is an acute Hospital offering medical, surgical and rehabilitation. It has been a leading provider of healthcare for this community for over 40 years. With 72 beds, Port Macquarie Private Hospital offers a comprehensive range of services including Bariatric, Dental, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology Orthopaedic, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Vascular, Day surgery and medical services.

We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Critical Care Registered Nurses to join our dynamic and patient focused team on a casual basis. The ideal candidate will bring advanced clinical expertise, sound critical thinking, and a strong commitment to delivering safe, high quality care to patients with complex and life-threatening conditions. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive nursing care, respond swiftly to deteriorating patients, and contribute to a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Deliver expert, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring, advanced therapies, and complex interventions
• Perform comprehensive assessments, identify clinical deterioration, and initiate timely and appropriate interventions
• Safely manage advanced technologies including ventilators, invasive lines, haemodynamic monitoring, and continuous infusion therapies
• Contribute to rapid response and emergency situations with confidence and clinical precision

About You
You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in an ICU or high-dependency unit
• Advanced clinical assessment skills and the ability to respond quickly in high-pressure situations
• A commitment to patient-centred care, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Post graduate certificate course in Critical care is highly considered
